Last night saw our annual Swimming Gala, held at Driffield Leisure Centre.
Schools from around the cluster took part in several individual and team relay races, with some excellent swimmers on show.
Driffield Junior School (83 points) just pipped Nafferton (81 points) to the trophy, with Hutton Cranswick (71 points) finishing third. Well done to all the children who represented their schools - Kilham (57), Garton (39), Wolds Fed (39), WASPS (33) and Burton Agnes (23). No lifeguards were called into service during the evening!
A massive thanks to Mrs Cartwright, who made the evening a pleasurable experience, along with all her helpers from the Driffield Junior Swimming Club.
Thanks must also go to all the teachers who gave up their time (hope your tea wasn't too burnt - Mrs Robinson!) to accompany the children, as well as the parents, grandparents and siblings who supported on a very cramped balcony.
Next Wednesday, sees our final event of the half term - a Girls only Hockey Tournament at Driffield School.
