East Riding Better Points – rewarding sustainable travel
As you may have seen or heard in recent press/media, East Riding of Yorkshire Council have launched an app called Better Points, which rewards people for travelling more sustainable either through walking, wheeling or using public transport locally.
The app is available to download free of charge to all adults who live, work or study within the East Riding, and points can be redeemed for vouchers to spend at high street shops or donated to charities.
This month, to coincide with celebrating Bike Week, all users can enter a prize draw to win a Brompton folding bike, as well as taking part in regular challenges/competitions to boost points.
This is a fantastic opportunity to further encourage school communities to travel actively, whether that’s on the school run, to work, the shops or for leisure, helping to make East Riding a happier, healthier place.
