Launch of Science Week!
To launch our science week, which is all about balance, teachers of DJS reenacted 'The Man Who Walked Between The Towers' for the whole school during our assembly time. The story is based on the true events of Philippe Petit who walked across the towers in 1974 on just a tightrope with no harness.

Great Book Share Success for World Book Day

Wow - what a fantastic day we had on World Book Day. The children enjoyed some wonderful activities including a ‘book bistro’ and a very special ‘DJS book club’ with some extra special grown up visitors. Thank you so much to all of the parents who gave up their time to share their love of reading with our children.

Thank you to Mrs Mudd for organising the day’s events.

More photos will be available in our gallery from Monday.

Dodgeball Tournament Fun
Tonight saw 28 children (some who had never represented DJS before at sport) make the short journey to Driffield School, to play the Year 7 students in a Dodgeball Tournament.

Well done to all the boys and girls, who showed great sportsmanship during the event with some of teams coming in second and third position.
