Pupil Premium
Our school receives Pupil Premium funding for all children who are entitled to free school meals now or over the last six years (known as Ever6), service children, children who are ‘Looked After’ post 'Looked After' children and those who are adopted.
This grant is to improve the progress and attainment of these children, who have been acknowledged nationally to be a vulnerable group. The Government says it is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility.
We have put in place many initiatives to support children to “bridge the gap” in performance and attainment. Observation and assessment of the results obtained by children receiving free school meals ensures that if a child should show signs of falling behind, they are provided with the necessary support offered by our interventions.
